Has wal*mart hit Australia?

Well, i was on my way to a LFS to re stock on some needed supplies(plant ferts, dechlroinator etc), when i saw a big yellow sign. It was advertising the new City Farmers store.
City Farmers is like a "pet supermarket" chain store and the people there know nothing about fish. I was banned from one of their other stores for res stocking their tanks and putting bettas in bgger tanks(but thats for another day). So i HAD to look(or complain). I went inside and the tanks wernt that dirty, but one or two dead fish. and the bettas, they were in cups. Just like (from what i hear) wal mart. At the ther store they had them in vases(around half a gallon, but dirty and had sometimes two males in ONE vase!).
They also give crap advice (check here)
I've just emailed the head of City Farmer's explaining why this should be stopped.
I don't think it will work, but i tried at least.

all I can say is WOW. I read the page on that shortcut. I cant believe they actually provide such bad advise in writing. You would think they would want to be able to deny advise as bad as that.

That is aweful advice on their site, they are actually stating that you should overstock your tank and bowls are fine permanent homes for goldfish and encourage people to mess with their PH and they say nothing about cycling your tank, testing for the correct water stats, stocking your tank with the right fish or doing water changes on a weekly basis in writing etc.........
This makes me so angry, not only the bad advice but because any newb who does bother to research their fish and tank before getting them who ends up on that site will be no better off than going to some bad walmart staff and being told the same thing.

City Farmers is a franchise, so anyone could take it to anywhere they wanted if they had the cash.

How strange.... I'm suer thats the exact same advice as on the Pets At Home website *runs to compare*.

A tank with some filtration will enable you to keep the water quality better creating a healthier environment for your fish and allow you to keep several fish in a community.'
