Has My Tank Cycled?

Just tested my water and have got the following results:

PH = 7 - 7.5
Amonia = 0
nitrite = 0.1
nitrate = 10ppm


At the moment i have got 10 zebra danio's and 3 silver sharks happily swimming around. Hoping to get some more tomorrow hence the question

I would say no.has you're still showing nitrite.

Normally a tank is cycled when you have had 7 days running of zero ammonia/nitrite without a waterchange.

Adding fish while you're only a few weeks in starting a new tank and showing nitrite will only make matters worse.

As Harlequins said, no. The tank is cycled when it shows 0 ammonia and 0 nitrIte. There is usually a little nitrAte in the most mature of tanks. also, how big is your tank? i'm not sure- can't remember off the top of my head- but don't silver sharks/bala sharks grow quite big?

edit:i just checked and yes, they grow up to 18" but 13" is more common. Also they should be kept in 55gallons+.

i inherited the sharks from a friend who got them without researching. Mine is 200 litre tank. I have been told to start with the danios to help with the cycle, i have got a few filter pads from a friends established tank as well.
