I'm really considering buying one of the beautiful males from bettasplendens.co.uk, but I was wondering if anyone has used them to buy fish before and what they're like (quality of fish on arrival, etc.)?
Thank you! :)

:DGreat service, comms and fish from Steve :good: :good: I know of quite a few people who've had some terrific bettas from him :D

Yes I got mine from Steve there are pics on here of her. He sent next day delivery and she was kept nice and warm with a heat pack. She's really pretty better than the pics and very health and doing well since I got her.

Sounds brilliant, thank you both for your replies!
Now I'll just have to convince my mum that getting a fish by post isn't going to kill it (touch wood, anyway)! I'll have to keep my eye out for some lovely bettas near the time I can get one :)

I too bought a betta through steve, arrived when promised, packaged great. Fish was good condition and has come along way.

Highly recommend!

After reading out your comments and showing my mum some pictures of his stock, I think my mum is pretty much won over :hyper:

That's good news :D

It is! :good:
I think I might ask Steve a few questions regarding temperament and things, as I plan to keep the betta with 9 male endlers.
Have any of your bettas had any problems with being in community tanks?

i have a male betta with 4 endlers and no problems, had the betta in a community tank but he got attacked by one of the platys so he moved to a new tank with the endlers

Sounds good! He must be a pretty relaxed betta to have been bullied by a platy

he sure is, i thought he would "fight back", he flared once and that's it, sitting in "his" corner and let the platy attack him, i had longfinned danios in the tank and my fighter never even looked at them...

He won't be able to help regarding the temprement. I asked him about my girl as I was gonna keep her with other community fish and he said he didn't know because he has over 100 and didn't have time to observe their temprement. Having said that my girl gets on great with all my fish
