Has Anyone Kept Geophagus Iporangensis With Smallish Shoaling Species

Looking at getting 3 or 6 of these for a 10ft tank which has a shoal of neons in as the smallest species, the G. iporangensis only 2-3" if i get them. I am not over fussed if the neons get picked off slowly. As the next smallest fish is madigascan rainbows, columbian red tailed tetras.

Also do they hassel other cichlids, as their is a few nanacara anomela (golden dwarf cichlids) already in.

Any advice on these is good thanks... just seen them and thought... potential with them being "earth eaters" although i know they get a reasonable size
