Hi,
I have a planted tank, mostly anubias, java fern, crypts and java moss. I want to add more plants that will go in the gravel, but I think the substrate isn't the greatest. It is very small gravel and one bag of flourite. My hubby suggested using rock wool to anchor the plants in the gravel. Has anyone used this in a tank before? Does it affect the water parameters in any way?
I personally have never seen rock wool, but hubby says it looks a lot like the replacement sponges you buy for bubble filters.
Here is a picture of what I have so far.
