For my next tank scaping im thinking it could potentially look good to have a half gravel half sand substrate...Wondering if anyone has ever done it and do you have pics of it if so?
Im thinking of gravel at the back and sort of curving closer to the front at the left and right edges of the tank and a big sand semi circle in the front centre of the tank..with all the live plants being rooted into the gravel..so the sand would be the stomping ground of the corys and i could have some wood, caves and rocks kicking about for my territorial fish to claim (this is going to be in a 300L with plecs,kribs,corys,rasboras and live bearers in
