Has Anyone Bred Geo Red Heads Before

Has anyone bred the above geos before. I'm just wondering what sort of age they'll be big enough to sell on. As you can see from the pic below we have quite alot to get rid of.

LOL! Where abouts are you? Are you in the UK? I would be interested in some for sure. One of my LFS will buy stuff off me at about 2"

You could sell privately at about 1.5"i guess, maybe even an inch if people have a grow on tank.

I have a lfs that said he'd take them but not all at once.So going to try and sell as many as possible myself

Get them advertised in as many places as you can. Ask any other LFS's near you.

How much did the lfs say they would give you?

They are taking them as credit when sold so it depends how interested customers are. Also the lfs nearest us has said they'd take some for credit but they'd have to sell them cheap but to give you an idea of their prices they were selling 2ins rotkeil a while ago at £12.

What? They want you to give them the fish and then give you credit when they have sold them? They will give you peanuts and they will be making about 400% profit!

Are they red heads or red humps? I have seen the red humps selling for £8.95 each in a lfs near me. Maidenhead Aquatics had the red humps in for 5 for £30.

I would be selling them privately for about £1.50 - £2.00 each myself, especially as the LFS will want them a decent size which will mean more food for you, more water changes, more electricity etc etc etc

Do you have a website called Gumtree in Ireland? If so then place an add on there for them with a picture of the parents as a guide with as much info as you can and i reckon you will see them go. If you wanted them to go even quicker then maybe offer them at £1 each seeing as you have a couple or so...

lol. No idea for price then mate in LFS's. Have you got a price in mind that you would be happy with?

I think you will be fine mate. You may still have to use the rather annoying offer from the LFS but who knows, maybe it will lead to bigger and better things with them. They usually offer more credit than they would cash, but you can't pay the electricity bill wth a credit note...
