Has Anyone Bought Fish From Viper And Vine

I have been looking at their websites and they look very good. Does anyone have experience of either of these two companies as I have noticed they deliver too ?

Viper and Vine is my local LFS (they only recently started stocking aquatics as they previously dealt only in the reptiles instore) and I have been regularly over the last couple of weeks. Just bought my featherfin cat from there although not mailorder.

The owner is VERY knowledgable and approachable about the fish/products and can get hold of pretty much anything given time as he can visit most of the UK fish wholesalers each fortnight as well as breeding his own stock. He stocks some lovely fish. (and reptiles, as well as very cute rabbits! Lol)

You are only in Cheshire, it could be worth you ordering fish and driving over to collect them from store if possible (save on postage!)

they are my lfs too and i agree with everything indigoj has said about them, i'm sure that from looking at the website you'll know who the owner is, he really is a great guy and if you want to check anything or order something in then ring up first as they are very helpful

ive sent viper and vine an email asking if they could get 3 species of cichlid in for me, how reliable are they should i get excited over the fish or not

they are pretty reliable, they have links with rarefish direct too so should be able to get pretty much anything, i know i have been told by matt the proprieter in the past to phone for anything not in the shop i want by sunday and they will have it in shop by tuesday, good luck with your order

im not in any major rush for the fish just thought they sounded a good place to get them for me be a week or 2 before i want them
