Yellow neon White Cloud Mountain minnows?

I thought they were black neons initially. I wanted to read up on their tank requirements, as I wanted to purchase the remaining ones that have been in the lfs for ages :(

On googling I can't find anything?? Store owner did say they are quite rare....
You can see a blurry image below Luther when he lived at the pet store, to give you an idea on what they look like:

Yellow neon?theres no such thing there gold, longfin and normal. gold is quite rare.they all have the same requirements a subtropical setup and do best in groups of 6 and up.I had some in a 20 container outside and they bred like crazy. .EDIT: Just saw your pic thats a regular white cloud there.

I've owned them before, but these looked nothing like the ones I' had previously.

Even when I google, no pics come up even similar to the ones they had at the lfs?

thats interesting, theres 2 other types of WCMM golden WC and meteor minnow all of these can breed with each other it might be tta the fish you seen is some kind of crossbreed between one of the 3.

You do get the Golden minnow which is a colour variant.

It looks like a standard WCMM to me too. Can you get a better picture?

Pets at Home commonly stock White Cloud Minnows and Golden Cloud Minnows - ones grey the other is gold/white. It would be on Google somewhere if it was a legitimate name.

Could be vietnamese wcmm... which are a different species and much less common then the regular ones. Pic looks like a regualr white cloud. Perhaps what you had before was not a white cloud at all.

Actually, thinking about it. Did these have any red on their mouth? The stripe does look a little too bold for a WCMM so they could be Vietnamese Minnows(Tanichthys micagemmae) instead of WCMM(Tanichthys albonubes) They look similar but the black stripe is bolder on Vietnamese Minnows and their are slight fins differences. Not to mention the red on the mouth.

Vietnamese that's the ones, thank you :D

I think I remember him saying from Vietnam, and very rare, having a google now.....

They aren't *Very Rare* as such, just not seen so often in pet stores or anything but dedicated shops/breeders because they are usually a little more expensive and therefore don't usually sell well.
