Harder To Keep Tropical Freshwater Fish

Yeah I've also picked up some info on the darkside, though I've never dabbled in it .

to the OP: you could try keeping german blue rams. I've always had the impression saltwater is only a little harder than a high tech planted tank. I don't think the fish are more sensitive, its just more work and more expensive. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong though.

Sorry for no replies
been out to my lfs and talked with the guy their for ages.

To natalie246 the reason I want a list of difficult to keep
freshwater fish is because I want to have a go at keeping
a saltwater aquaria but don't want to waste money by killing expensive
saltwater fish. So O thought to my self that of I could master freshwater fish
keeping then I should be able to give "the dark side" a go.

See if you could get hold of a few Chocolate Gouramies, and if you succeed to keep those happy, You are a pro and move over to the Salties.... I've been breeding for many years, but I'm still too "scared", to make that move... to Chocolates, or to the Salties.

Have a look at Wildwoods website. They have a huge selection of fish there available to mail order if you want but there's an info box on each fish profile that tells you how difficult they are to keep. You can always get some idea of the fish you'd be interested in trying then trying to source them locally

Edit - here is the website: http://www.tropicalfishfinder.co.uk/stores_products.asp?store=54&type=Fish

I just calculated your tanks volume to be 34 US gallons or 128.7 Liters. Presuming your tank is rectangular of course
