As some of you know it lost it's popularity not so long back, but without all your help, it's now coming back with a vengeance and will be even better next year.

Can I ask how this particular forum lost it's popularity? I don't think the number of people contributing is important, it's the level of knowledge that people have that makes the impression. I think the TFF is thy best forum for planted tips/hints as people are not biased towards giving explanations for achieving vibrant plant growth and the removal of algae that support achieving sale revenues. I don't think I could get the same geniune advice on these issues anywhere else as people just seem to care too much about manipulating the truth to induce maximum sales.

Thank you for your kind words, Mark4785. Dips in popularity sometimes happen and it happened here about a year ago. It was frustrating to me, but you can either sit and moan about it or become pro-active. I chose to become proactive and work to improve this section by working with other members on PARC and really working with members with their tanks. I helped Ian with his initial setup and he later became a mod. It's not always glamorous to stay and help newbies, but for me, it is the most rewarding aspect of keeping Planted tanks. I am glad that you found the help you needed and that your BGA situation was resolved. Look forward to seeing pictures of the newly recovered setup.

It's a great feeling to be a part of such a great community through all the ups and downs and learning something new ever day. And I want to thank everyone who has helped me and the fellow newbie plant keepers resolve issues that we frequently run into and I look forward to keep passing on the information.
