The flow of my hang on side filter has turned into 3 drops per seconds as compared to the brilliant water fall it was earlier. I don`t know how to increase the flow back to normal. I tried adjusting the knob and cleaning the rudder/magnet and stuff, but no significant improvement. for my fishes`s sake i did introduce a new internal power filter but i wish my mature power filter runs too until my new filter can mature.

If you can provide me the link to video where i can learn about repairing my power filter, it will be really helpful.

Forget adjustments. Try cleaning the filter but more importantly the impeller of your HOB filter. I almost always find that reduced flow is either the result of things like algae accumulating at the filter inlet or is a problem with the impeller itself.

If you remove all the media from the filter does it run powerfully again empty? sometimes I find the media is in such a way it clogs the flow, if not it's probably the impeller/tubes that need a thorough cleaning or there may just be a load of detritus in the media, which you can clean in the old tank water, make sure the flow is fully open on the intake too as sometimes it is not easy to see if it is dirty, another thing with some hobs is that when turned off they don't refill unless you manually fill them by pouring water in the back chamber.
