So I woke up this morning to an extremely buzzing tank, corys flying around, clown loaches clicking, guppies chasing and even the pleco was in the mix. My corys were laying eggs all around the place. I have never been able to save even one egg since the addition of the clowns but this time I got lucky.

I saved about 30 eggs, all I need to do now is find a place for the fry if they hatch. I was thinking to buy one of those hang on breeder boxes as in the link below:

Has anyone used one of these for fry of any kind?

Yey, never mind, just bought a Juwel 54 litre tank. Come on cory babies, you've got a new home, well it's on the way....

a clean lunch box will do. leave it floating in the water, use a syringe or a clean glass to perform small and frequent water changes. for example. a syringe that holds 20 ml. do that 3 to 5 times a day. big water changes are not required nor are they benificial to the fragile fry. good luck

Just to go totally OT for a second..

why on earth has the box got a pic of a dozen clown loach in there?

Ha, ha, never noticed that myself. I was actually going to buy a second hand tank. It was a 60 litre Juwel, but the taller version. The advertisement said with 15 fish in it. I asked what fish and guess what I got as an answer: a good size sucker fish  , two clown loaches, 2 silver sharks, 3 golden barbs, 5 tetra
I said I can only take the tank and the 2 clown loaches(for the same price!!!) and never got an answer back.

Ummm... those are Clown fish (as in saltwater), not clown loaches... :p

anyway, I use the hanging net breeders for any cory eggs i find. i've found it's easier to monitor the eggs and remove dead ones when they are in the net.

Thanks everyone. I opened a new thread for my new setup, yay, 4th tank in the house. Wish I had space for a bigger one as there's a loveley 6.5f tank for an amazing price. I just need to eat the 6 piranha in it and it's ready for new fish

Hopefully these fry hatch :/ So far I managed to hatch and raise one cory and I did get about 10 babies the next time but the breeder box fell in the tank 2-3 times and all fry got eaten. It's been a long time since I've tried hatching eggs.

I've got albino and gold laser corys, all of them were dancing around but I think the eggs are albinos, they look exactly like the ones they laid before. One day I'll try the laser corys.
