I've lsot the manual that came with the box (how convenient), and i'm struggling to change them. I assumed it would be just to twist off the black caps on either side of the bulb itself...either there screwed on really tightly as default or i'm doing something wrong. They won't budge and its got me wondering. Anyone else shed some light on what i'm doing right/wrong. Maybe i just need to twist them harder - its just i dont want to break the bulbs that are in there (bad experience with Juwel T8's few years ago)

The end caps should just unscrew and then you can twist the bulb until the contacts are lined up to lift the bulb out. If I remember right there is an oring and a conicle gasket within the end cap assembly. That may be why it's giving you an issue.

Righto, when i'm back home tommorow i'll give the ol thing a spritely anti-clockwise twist And hope for the best. You know when your sure what your doing is right but its just not happening - so you doubt your right in the first place. Thats me right now

I know exactly what you mean. I was there a couple days ago with something unrelated.
