Hi,

I put one of the Hagen Co2 kits into our tank yesterday as an experiment in c02 and plant growth - but it seems like no bubbles are forming!

The ladder is in the tank and piped to the canister - i can blow through the pipe and see bubbles go into the ladder fine. The canister has had the suge / stabilizer / activator / water added like the instructions say, did this around 5pm yesterday but yet to see anything in the ladder!

Is this normal - ie takes longer to ferment and produce co2 sometimes - or any ideas on obvious possible errors ive made, the canister is on the tank stand base rather than side hung - but intructions say this is possible.

any advice appreciated :)

Cheers Andy!

Off to Asda i go then :p

Should have seen the mother in laws face when i said i need to go to asda for baking yeast! Me cook

Priceless :)

I agree. Those little packets are crap. Way too expensive for what they are too. Baking soda, sugar, water, and a 2 litre bottle and you will see bubbles quick.

Thanks for all the advice! :good:

A couple hit n miss attempts with some sourced yeast from asda -first go put froth into the pipe - 2nd go lowered the qty's and it works fine!

Bubbles going up the ladder exactly as i hoped :)

no more little packet refils for me - thats going to save some money over the years :hey:

Thanks again

:good:
