Can anyone make any suggestions for re-stocking my tank, I seem to have ended up with odds and sods due to a few deaths.
Thanks.

well, first off... what size is the tank? Secondly what kind of fish are currently in it?

My suggestion is since you have 1 peppered cory and 1 bronze cory, they enjoy shoaling, so I suggest getting atleast 2 more of each...

Also the five banded barb and the glowlight tetras enjoy shoaling too... so get atleast another 3 of each... but I've got to say... your tank is going to be overstocked as you have all shoaling fish...

Mmmm, had thought of getting the cories already, so that's good - but the banded barbs (5's & 6 banded) are so closely related that they shoal together. I don't want anymore glowlights, I've had some for a while and I'm down to just one, I don't want to replace those to be honest.
Any other suggestions?

best bet is to get rid of the glowlite then as it'll live an unhappy life alone... if you 5 and 6 banded barbs shoal then that's fine... Still the cory cats need more friends as they're an odd species and unlike your banded barbs, won't shoal together even though they dirive from the same species...

Joanne if you had alot of deaths I would not add any new fish for a least 3 months to the tank settles down.

Exactly; you need to find out WHY your fish have been dying and fix it before even thinking about replacing them.

I have 6 peppered corys in my tank now and they love to play around together

yesterday they were high in the tank 4 of them riding the bubbles from my filter :good: :hyper:

Thanks, point taken, but the deaths haven't been all together and I have been trying to sort the problem out for some weeks as you will realise Wilder - I've changed all the substrate again and treated with wormer, and other recommended meds from peeps on this forum. Everyone looks ok now, no ill looking fish or one's that are acting strangely (other than the cory and his fungus?? issue) I will treat him as you suggested yesterday and see how things go.
Thanks again.

I know how you feel been there, but when you lost alot of fish best to let things settle down
You will just be wasting your money and fish lives, let the tank settle to see if the other fish make it first.

Hasn't this been covered?? get more peppered corys, more bronze corys and more glowlight tetras and you'll be set...

I wouldn't advise anyone replacing fish when she lost alot of fish.
