I was just wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have been looking into these for my tank as they seem to be small eartheaters how ever it is well documented that they need a cooling period once a year - I was just wondering how essential this is for them? My LFS has some in and I am quite interested but if the cooling period is needed as vital then I will pass on them but if in a tank environment it is not vital then maybe I could try it?
Just out of interest though, what happens to them if they go without the cold spell? Does it really effect their health and quality of life?
