ok so ive got some probs with my tank and im wondering if anything can explain this .. told i poss have tb and parasite/worms so using meds.

now what im trying to find out is in one tank i have male guppies bright red/with bright pink patches on their body and in their tails ,

i also have bright yellow guppies a couple having a brighy pink spot/marking ...

however various days the yellow guppies top fins have turned pure pink , their tail fins pink edges or part pink/yellow .

then next day or couple of days later they turn back fully yellow..

ive had my family watch them for me just to prove im not crazy and its definatly happening .

.anyone no whats going on as the guppies are pretty big and im told theyre adults ?

I never owned guppies, nor do I know much about them, but since no one else has commented yet I suppose I will...

You said that you notice this happening after water changes?

Well the thought I have is that, when you do a water change you add new fresh de-chlorinated water that has trace minerals for the fish.

Maybe the color change has to do with fresh water, or that they are more happy with the fresh water? (Kind of sketchy I know)

Whatever it is I would not worry about it. If your fish are that comfortable in your tank to display things like that, I would say all is well. :good:

Hopefully my post will "trigger" someone with more experience with this, and will stop by and give you more advice.

I've seen at least one other post here of tail-color changes in guppies, can't remember when, it was a while back and I don't remember what the comments were, sorry. But I think its real, not imagined.

I also heard somewhere that guppies can change colour, not sure where though.

Pink fins can also be a sign of fin problems, such as fin rot although im no expert, are the fins freyed or damanged in any way?
