So this morning before I went to school I did my morning routine on my fish tank to feed them in the morning and today when I turned on the light to see the condition of my fish I saw a tiny fry staying at the bottom of the tank and it was devoured by one of my 2 pineapple sword tail platies. So at this time I went to get my fish net to find I any more survived and luckily I found 1 more hiding at the top of the tank. I tried to put it in the breeders box because that's all I had at the time but the fry was so small it slipped through the slits at the bottom of the box so I got by bowl (never used before but clean) and put it in there till I got back home. When I got back home I checked the tank again and there was another fry (just 1) and I scooped it up with my net and put in in the bowl with the 1 other fry. Now 4 and a half hours later (right now) my dad calls me over to see some big white blob coming out of one of the pineapple sword tail platies and when I checked it was 4 dead fry (big) clumped together coming out of it. I'm still on the lookout for any live fry. I need to know what I need to do for my fry to survive. I can't get anything till Friday. And also can anyone tell me what's going on with my pineapple sword tail platy? I've had the guppies and platies for 1 and a half months now. Tank size is 20 gallons with a filter and a air pump. Led lights and a heater set at 25 degrees Celsius. And I'm not sure if it was one of my 2 guppies that gave birth to the fry or if it was the pineapple sword tail platies.

Just float a container in your tank and put the fry in it. They will be fine in that for a few days

Hi.

Have you kept live bearers before?

Oh boy pregnant live bearers in a 20 gallon tank this could get messy real fast for a while even without males, and each fry you keep will be able to breed from about 4 months old and onward, now that they have given birth, expect another batch in about what 40 days at most.

This is the first time I caught the fry before th parents ate them so I really don't know what to do. I found 2 more fry this morning too.
