Well i took a batch of juvi's to lfs last week, had a sort out again earlier, and caught another 40,mixture of guppy & platy juvi's around 2-3 months old, took these over to lfs also...
Sad to see them go,there's still plenty growing up in fry tank. :)
Here's pics of latest batch to go..

 Aw lookat how cute they are! You have done an absolute fab job, bet the lFS are happy to see you with all those :good:

Thanks all,:)
i think the lfs was nearly drooling when he seen all the females in there, says it finds them hard to get hold of,and they will sell quick!!

here's a slightely better pic showing some their colours before they went in the bag..

fair, i only have three fry two two month old guppys and one one month old molly fry that i didn't think was a molly thought it was a guppy but glad it is a molly because its mother died so its the only legacy left its name is Sunburst The II

awee they r so nice! and thats alot of females i cant even find a male in any of those pics unless i missed it. sorry hughessomefish about the female that died.

You need to take them to your local fish club's sales instead of the LFS Harlequins. I find that my common guppy fry, all grown up, fetch a price that more than pays for their keeping when I sell them at a club auction. On the other hand, a dedicated local fish shop, that is well known for selling rare and hard to find fish, do not give me much at all for fish, and it is always in terms of store credit, not cash. The heck with that. I sell my surplus at club auctions for my own club and others. I will never make enough to pay for the hobby, but I refuse to give away the fish I have spent the effort to raise.

hughs my fish r doing great. i have around 18 17 day old guppy fry adn 3 newborn swordtail fry. i have 3 guppy adults(2 male 1 female) and my female is more aggressive than and both my males so its all good.

Thanks Oldman,i will try and find a local club to take the next lot too,i begrudge giving them to the lfs,but they needed to go...

For guppies, I will sell juvies at about 2 months. For othre fish, the age varies somewhat. When the fish are old enough to easily sex but have yet to attain full growth, they still can make great starters for another fish keeper trying to set up a new tank.
