To sex guppies, you need to look at the anal fin. That's the one on the fish's tummy, just in front of its tail.

Females have a normal looking, fan shaped anal fin.

Males have their anal fin modified into a rod like structure, called a gonopodium.

Danios are harder to sex, but females, when they're ready to breed (because they're full of eggs) will be plumper than the males; you can usually see a bend in the stripes as it goes over their tummy. If you wanted to breed them, you'd need a separate tank,as otherwise the eggs or fry will be eaten, and you need to get more more; danios live and breed in shoals, not pairs, and they won't be happy (and you might see some bullying), if you have only two.
