guppy fins

i have two probelems with teh fisn of two seprate guppies

on the tail is split, will this heal? and can i do anything to aid healing?

and secondly one of my blue guppise now a patches of red on his tial, i thought at firts they werere cuts or ulcers, but on closer inspection it looks like a cahneg in colouration, is this normal, or at least something to be ocncren about or is ok?

Guppys fins do split now and then but they usually heal in good water quality, the other guppy red patches can be septicemia, is there any red edging to the tail end as well.

I agree with wilder, read my posts also on "r.i.p cool guppy" thread and see wether your guppys torn fins could also be a consequence of a too larger or strongly filtered tank as this will become a repetive problem if this is so. Also in this scenario your guppys fins will heal quickly if water quality is good(1 to 2 weeks) but i would start using melafix as it sounds like your second guppy has got a secondary infection in his fins(most likely secpticemia like wilder said) which mean you have some deseases going around in your tank water and Melafix is the best way to prevent secondary infections in torn fins .
