Ok, I recently cleaned out my tank, bought new plants and have everything set up. I am planning on getting 2 Angel Fish, and 5 Guppies give or take a few. I was wondering if these 2 species of fish get along, and live in the same environment ( temperature, pH levels, etc.) Also, whether to get female, male, or both. Last but not least, should I get some algae eating fish? Please reccomend, give advice and tips!
By the way, the tank is 40-50 gallons, if that helps. :)
Thanks!

edit: the specific angel fish will be Freshwater Veil Angelfish

Personally I cant see the problem.... Until very recently I have always had a 3ft tank with 2 large angel fish and, what started with, about 20 guppys and they bred and I had over 100 which I then sold :)
They all got along well but the angels were a bit shy so just make sure at feeding time they get their fair share :)
And they should both be fine with Plecs :good:

Yep you are lucky that your angels are shy, I have one angel and "had" three adult plecs and around 60-70 baby plecs, not any more I caught Evil Angel eating a baby yesterday and although I dont like I tapped the glass to make him drop the kid - anyway mind made up Angel is going back.

Sorry to be neg. but my previous setup with different Angels - they used to nip my mail guppies tails - never killed one but they don't look as pretty with half a tail.

I really like the look of Angels but I can't hack this behaviour and yes I had an idea before I purchased him...........

Paul - not a happy bunny.
