anybody else here play guitar
:D

i think music is my favorite thing in the world,
i play electric and acoustic. and probably a bit odd for a teen but the music i really like is any kind of rock music from say the 70's 80's or 90's :D

I play, absolutely love it and music. I play mainly 60/70's rock and metal, my main inspirations are Chuck Berry, Angus Young and Tony Iommi.

Here's one of the covers I did:

Wish I had time to play more, mostly rock & metal.

What's the Marshall you're running through SBS, sounds real good! :good:

i love it, but dont play much now, i dont have any real impoteus to do it. used to be in a band, playing twice a week, and loved it. recorded a couple of tracks in a studio, but then people went off to do their thing and it all ground to a halt. without any real reason to play, i dont bother much now. ive got 6 guitars, couple of amps, bag full of pedals, all sat doing nothing. if i knew how to put an mp3 up for listen i would, one track i wrote brings a smile to my face every time i hear it. my favourite guitarist without doubt is John Squire of the Stone Roses, closely followed by Kenwyn House of Reef. anyways, this recording is the one time i managed to sound even remotely like Squire, my high point.

ive got a fender '62 custom telecaster, a fender '72 custom telecaster RI, a limited edition fender strat, a fender 6 string acoustic, a seagull 12 string acoustic, and an old '60's cheapo guitar my dad used to play on. sounds a lot like something Jack White would use.

thanks for the replys dudes :) standbysetting is that a gibson SG ? i have an sg but its made by vintage, one day i would like a real one :)
i think i've been slacking with the guitar a bit lately anyway, as i always used to sit in my room with my laptop and learn everything i could now my laptops broken and has been for like a year and nto had money to fix it so i couldnt really use it to help me learn so i just been like completely teaching myself lol! although recently i think i seem to be improving and even surprising myself with what i can do lol :p

i quite like a bit of acoustic too :) i think what skill i dont have on electric i make up for when i play fingerstyle acoustic, i've been teaching myself that too, trying lots of different tunings and seeing what i can do with them, if anybody has heard of andy mckee i play the same kind of style, i learnt a couple of his songs too, and craig D'andrea is one of my fave acoustic fingerstyle guitarists :) check them out they're well worth watching :) i learnt this song by him

i quite like this style its a bit tricky learning the songs but its so fun and easier than you'd think to come up with your own music :) and its really rewarding too when you actualyl finish a piece or finish learning a piece :)

I wish it was a Gibson, it's an Epiphone Korean built, very good quality really, I've seen worse Gibson's, and I changed the pick ups out for Seymour Duncan SH-5 in the bridge and an SH1 in the neck position.

The truss rod cover is cool too, check it:

ohh awesome stuff :) i wish i had the money to spend on guitar stuff, i wanted to get a loop pedal and some kind of recording device that i can run through my line6 amp so i can record my own tracks :) but its hard deciding wether the money goes on music stuff or anything id wanna get for my fish tank :p aha

I love my Fender Acoustic, one of my most dear possessions. Playing acoustic guitar is the most relaxing time-passer ever!
Been looking at getting a Martin acoustic soon.

James.

heres some guitar porn for you all, ive posted these elsewhere, but we all love pictures.

fender acoustic, my first ever guitar. was only 130 quid about 12 years ago, still sounds better than anything twice the price.

and finally, heres some original recordings. few things first :X . the first track, Get Along, singer was NOT happy with the vocal. he was ill, and he went last after 8 hours of herbal relaxation  his throat was a bit sore  it was 10:30 pm when he started recording the vocal hahaha. and the other track, with no vocal, is pretty bad. im the only guitarist on both tracks, the second track was jammed out while we were recording, hence no lyrics, a lame chorus and a slightly dodgy solo. and we were caned :S :S :S :S

Get Along

demo track

let me know if it doesnt work, first time ive used it.
