Nepenthes are tropical plants, often vines, native primarily to the Malaysian region, India and Australia. They attract insects wil the smell of rotting flesh, once on the lip of the pitcher there is no escape the insect falls into a resovouir of digestive juices and becomes the plants dinner.

It's a Nepenthes ventrata. There are a couple more of them floating around the photo section.
