Hi I recently (1 week) bought 2 dwarf gouramis and have noticed that one has 3 small white growths on the rear of the top fin right at the end. I have pictures if required. Is this normal? If not can any body let me know what this could be. Many thanks

The growths do they look like a cauliflower of a cluster of berries.

I'd guess finrot - with or without a secondary fungal infection. Most anti finrot and fungus meds. should do the trick. A picture might be useful and obviously answers Wilder's question too. :)

edit: I see you live in the UK. Try Interpet's treatment no. 8. It works great on columnaris (flexibacter) and aeromonas and treats fungal infections too.

many thanks for your speedy replies. I have just been to the LFS and shown them some pictures and they have recommended Interpet's treatment no. 8 as they thing it is Fungal. Nice one Sylvia :good: .

 lets hope it does the job

thanks again Guys
