HI there! I woke up this morning to look at my new tank setup and noticed that it had a slight greenish tinge to it. The day before, i added a neon and glowlight tetra and bogwood;and today i added 3 amano shrimp and plants. THe readings are fine, ammonia 0 nitrite near 0, but pH is about 8.0 and nitrate is relatively high, ill do a test in a min.
So what do you think the greenish tinge is from? THe fish seem fine though

You never have a bala shark in a 2 gal tank, they need 90gals tanks, plus they have to be kept in groups.
Its absolutely cruel to keep a bala shark in that size tank.
No fish should be in that size tank at all.
Its severely overstocked and there all going to die of ammonia poisoning.

i know but i was told alot of wrong thingsc at my lfs.will my fishj be alright in that greenish water

The green water won't kill them but ammonia posioning will.

Thank god! My ammonia is 0 but nitrate is quite high, ill do a test now

No way will them fish survive in a 2 gal tank, the shark will not be able to move.

Theyre coping fine at the mo. Im movin them all to the 70 litre 1, 2 week by week! My nitrate was around 20

Well I would put the rest of them in the 70 litre tank stand more chance in there than a 2gal tank.
I would take the bala shark back even a 70 litre tank is to small for him, and he won't be happy on his own.
