yes for a couple of hours

You have to move the tank or put a shade or something on that window. Also, might have to do some frequent water changes for a week or so to get some of he green out of the water faster.

yep, it's nasty floating algae. Best option is to reduce light, nitrates and phosphates. Try looking at pinned topics on preventing algae for detailed advice.
