It's been over a month now and Frederick my gt hasn't eaten a thing, he's looking thin but still active and swimming normal. I don't want him to suffer, it's just a matter of time now.

Cichlid gold, cichlid sticks, tetramin, flakes, blood worm (used to be his favourite), pea's, beef, fish, algae wafer. He just looks at it and turns away, sometimes he has a nibble but spits it out.

Have you tried live?

Live bloodworm and live brine shrimp?
Sometimes with the moving of the prey, the fish cant resist.

Get some young guppy fry and see what he does with that. Also, a wriggling garden worm may encourange him
a little.

What other fish is he in with if any?

I've not tried live food, I'll try tomorrow, He's on his own because he got very aggressive to all tank mates. I think he's got a internal problem, his stomach has sunken in and I read somewhere that it's a sign of internal bacteria/parasite. So I treated with interpet anti internal bacteria treatment, which hasn't helped.

His stomach may have sunk due to not eating, any healthy fish will go for live food, try it

Hope he eats

keep us updated.

He will have a sunken belly as he hasn't eaten for a month would be my guess.

Do you have the ability to add him back into the other tank? Maybe he is lonely. If the other tank has had time to establish an heirachy then he may be ok now. Worth a go for sure imo.

Bit worried about trying that

, he attacked my Oscar, Severum and tinfoil barbs, witch are back to full health now. Maybe I can put something in with him, not sure what though

His belly was sunken in after 2 weeks

Maybe try the tinfoils to give him a little action in the tank but the problem is, he's probably claimed the tank as his territory so whatever you put in there may get decimated...

He's in a juwel trigon 190 so there's not enough room for the Tinfoils, maybe I should ask my lfs if they will take him on, don't want him to go, but I want whats best for him.

Maybe give it away to someone on here, I wouldn't ever give a fish to a lfs except if it was an exceptionally good one, you would never know where your fish could end up.
The poor sod could end up in some kids 5 gallon with goldfish

And at least if you give it to someone on here, you can keep track of it and know how its getting on...

Minnnt - I just dug up a earth worm and he ate it straight away

Snake. - I would prefere him to go to someone on here than my lfs. My lfs is very good but might be hard to sell him on due to his size and aggressive nature, and there tanks arn't that big, and as you say he could end up in horrible tank. As he's now eaten a worm it's given me hope, looks like I'll be digging holes in my garden every day.

May have to set a tank up to breed guppies!

good news he's eating again, maybe get live blood worm if he prefers to eat things that are alive! :)

Good news!

Im glad for him, but in case you do ever want to rehome him, put me first on your list :D
