Green Spots On My Plant

well my other plants (Java fern, crypts and another type of fern) seem ok, but the crypts have got a brownish coating that i cannot remove.

will using ferts (2ml of flourish, to start with and excel, about 5ml to start with) solve my problem or is there anything else i should do?

Most of my plants look like that 3/4 days after a water change, though it turned out to be apple snail poop. From reading about 3 posts in this topic I've already learnt a lot more about plant care.
