Can anybody help please.
Posted last week I bought some Gouramis and the Female is heavily pregnant
I put them in a breeding tank but they didnt like it and wouldnt move so put them back in 215lt tank with community fish. They are now eating and moving around again so obviously happier but I have no idea what to do now. She is very swollen and ready to go but the male is showing no signs of bubble nesting. He has got more colour on him now (Pearl gourami his chest and fins are now really tinged with Orange) but they have stopped swimming together etc.
I have found info online but nothing that I can really make sense of considering how miserable they were in the breeding tank.

Any help or advice

Unfortunately, if they don't want to mate nothing you can do will change their mind. The best thing you can do is give them the optimum conditions to try and provoke the male into building the nest.

Remember to put the male into the breeding tank first, for around 1 or 2 weeks where you condition both male and female with as many live nutricious foods as possible. If you're lucky the male will build his nest. After this time move the female over and hope for the best - remember to remove the female once laying has finished but leave the male.

Thank you :) She is very heavily gravid looks like she has swallowed a marble so bit worried about time scale. How long would it be for her to lay her eggs
