Gravel to Sand

Did I do the right thing? (I know some people didn't like my green gravel )

Sorry the water's a bit cloudy. It's a mixture of sand and bacterial bloom so should clear up soon.
I'm getting more plants tomorrow and might put the backing card back on, not sure yet? Will post more when water's clear and planting finished.

Isn't that just typical. For ages people have been saying that they didn't really like the green gravel and then when i change it they like it.

Anyway, here's the best shot i can get of my UV lighting. The glow is actually from the normal light tube as the UV light hits it. The tetras look fantastic, like little diamonds B)

Anyway, i've added a few more plants ( ) to add a bit of colour.
(Water's still a bit cloudy, sorry)

Wow, it does look great now!!! I'd add the backing back on if it were my tank - I like having that look of depth.

i think both look great but personally i always opt for sand. (i think its easier to clean and easier for bottom feeders to sift through.) i like the background.

As you can see from my sig i have put the backing back on and the water's nearly crystal clear
