Gravel Cleaning

Morning all

I regularly clean my gravel during water changes, generally just between plants, rocks and wood, but should I be removed these for a more intense 'deep' clean?

When you have real plants, you do as much deep cleaning as you can without disturbing the roots. Decor is a different matter, it gets moved around so that you don't get a build up under the decorations.
