Mikrogeophagus ramirezi, the common or blue ram in any of its varieties needs high temperatures, minimum is 80F (27C) but better at 82-84F. As someone mentioned, cardinals and rummynose manage with this, and there are a few other tetras. But no cory should be kept this warm long-term.
The Bolivian Ram, M. altispinosus, can tolerate somewhat cooler temperatures, in the high 70's (75-77F) which will allow for cory species and many more tetras, etc.
I had thought of Pearl Gourami earlier in this thread but didn't mention it because a 29g tank at 30 inch length is pretty cramped. The Samurai needs very soft water.
