Left looks female right looks male

They are gold and blue gouramis. They are the same, just different color morphs.


Trichogaster trichopterus

I have a male gold gourami, he is very territorial. What size tank? My gourami is about 5-6 inches long.

Looking at your tank pictures, you have angelfish as well? My gourami is very territorial with my angelfish. He will chase them around. Not to the point of trying to hurt them though..
You will also want to cut off the dead leaves so they don't decay and raise ammonia (I think that's what it is).
Gouramis are omnivores so they may eat some types of plants. Angelfish too. My angels ate my wisteria and eat my christmas moss

thanks my bettas took forever to find out if they were male or female! lol ...it is a 55 gallon..should i get another of either? like in guppies you need 2 femles to 1 male or something like that??

the gouramis dont bother the angels..they only bother each other. i dont know why some peolpe say dont keep betta nd gourami together!! they get along great!!

I people say its better to have multiple females to a male to spread out aggression however I never tried to keep any females with mine. I've seen people say 2 females and one male. I'm not sure if they are picky with color though.
