I would give him a chance first with the bacterial med as sometimes fish can surprise you.
Ph shock can take 7 to 14 days to kill a fish.
Always test the bag water for ph when you get new fish, this way you know how long to clamatise them if there a big difference in ph.

I find this method the best for ending a fish life if you can't fetch yourself to hit it on the head.

Bucket of cold water and add ice cubes till the water freezing cold.
Add the fish to the bucket of frozen water it takes about 30 seconds, but leave the fish in the bucket a while to make sure its passed on.

tried the saltwater thing - he perked up slightly - probs cos he was like omfg.... lol


not holding out hope tbh i expect to loose him.... will see tomorow - im off to bed now as ive done all i can for the little guy tonight

he's still with us - looking slightly more normal......swimming a little and not just on the bottom....

what do i treat him with??

the lfs are now slightly useless with meds.........

Anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
He's not out of the woods yet.
Is he still resting on the bottom of the tank and trying to jump out of the tank.

not jumping out, not lying on his side just swimming occasionally and resting

do you think he could have been bullied and is just taking time out???

to be fair though heand his mate are the biggest fish i have....

He dosn't sound right to me I think he needs treating with a bacterial med.
Have you noticed any bullying in the tank?

nope - they all get on really well,.....

im after a second tank (well third) big tank....

i cant even separate them into nother tank atm as mr pinchy the lobster is occupying one until i get another big tank for him then i will have a aspare isolation tank *gasps for breath lol*
