Will gouramis be allright in a planted tank?? It is a 20 gallon fish tank which has 2 spotted silverdollars,a shoal of 12 danios, and a shoal of 6 albino corys. What type of gourami can live in a 20 gallon planted tank?? Alex.

You are overstocked as it is

Find the silver dollars a new home and don't add anything new to that tank. It is severely overstocked.

I think I might make the 55 my new planted tank. What do you think?? It will constit of plants,4 redhooks,2 spotted silverdollars, a shoal of danios,a shoal of corys, and a type of gourimi. That way it will it be big enough for other fish. I will use the 20 gallon for a tetra tank or hospital tank.

Thanks,

>Alex.

Have you tried keeping silver dollars in a planted tank? just wondering :p

BTW, with the 6 silver dollars, 12 danios and 6 cories, even a 55 gallon is pretty close to fully stocked. It is certainly a good idea to switch tanks though!

The tetra idea for the 20 is great and you could just about fir a trio of gouramies (maybe banded? - Colisa fasciata) into the 55.
