Hey guys.

Whenever I feed my fish, I find that my other fish steal the food before my gourami can even reach it.

So I've developed some sort of feeding system for my gourami.

My dad had to re size our air-pump pipes for the fish tank, so I kept the small tube he cut off. I knew it would come in handy sometime over the rainbow!

So I place the tube just about above my gourami and drop the food in. It sits on the water, so when I shake the tube, the flakes fall down the tube infront of him.

Is this a good idea?

if the fish is having problems getting fed, it may be having other problems that are not so obvious. perhaps it just not up to living in your community. i'm not saying its the answer, just worth thinking about.

He is perfectly fine, but I use the feeding tube because we have black-skirt tetras, and they grab everything before he can get some. He is perfectly fine, but I just to use the tube because it gives me reassurance he is getting fed properly.

similarly, i've heard of feeding with a turkey-baster in saltwater applications. So you've got a good idea as long as you dont mind feeding it every time that way.

I'm not busy usually ever, so in the morning I don't mind it.
