When I checked my tank after getting home from work today, I found one of my sunset Gourami's dead.
My tank readings were all fine, and still are now, straight 0's across the board for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, with ph @ 7.6. and temperature at 25c.

Now what I'm wondering is what caused the death, I've only been keeping fish for 4 months or so. (see my thread here for tank details etc here: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/372175-wigsters-tropical-160l/)

The tank is a 160 litre, which was stocked: 2x sunset gourami (now just 1), 6 x red eye tetra, 6 x tiger barb and 1 bristlenose catfish.

I do happen to vaguely remember the now deceased fish possibly having a long "white stringy poo" a few nights ago... which has possbily led me to believe that it had an internal parasite?

So basically, the deaceased fish showed no external health problems and no problems with my readings. So was it just the "fishes time to go" or is there possibly an invisible problem I should be worried about :/?

Cheers for any input,
Wigster

Sorry for your loss, did you cycle the tank?

Yes I did cycle it, cycle log here: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/367500-wigsters-tank-journal-cycling/
