Gourami Death

Yesterday, while I was setting up my new 40 gallon tank, I had put all my fish into certain bowls with the old tank water. I had my honey gourami in a large bowl with the water filled up about half way. While I was working I heard a splash and just assumed that the fish were ready to get out. About 15 min later I went to check on them and the gourami was gone! I was looking everwhere for him, on the floor, in the chair, in my purse. He was no where. Finally we looked behind the stove and there he was. He had jumped out and flopped about 6 inches till he fell behind the stove. We got him out and put him back in the bowl where he live for about 2 hours. It was something else.

Make sure you use a lid (a book or cd'd do for a bowl?) next time....
