Hiya OM47,
Yeah the doors i think i can get local, right near a lfs they make them (amongst other items) at factory prices too
The frame is a tad overkill lol, my thinking was to try to spread as much weight over the whole frame carcus as i could, the floor is (from the surface down...) concrete screed maybe 1-1.5inch deep/wire mesh/rockwool-fibreglass/then main concrete slab flooring (sections i guess) this set of flats are circa 1947 so pretty darn stable floor-wise, but ... from the kitchen into the living room the screed has a crack, if i were to jump up/down on the crack line i can hear and feel the movement, hence my trying to spread as much weight as i could
Anyways ..... the canopy carcus is done and test wired with the T5's woohoo
My thinking is to start cladding the stand/canopy as soon as i can (time permitting) , then stain/danish oil (fish/shrimp etc will have to be re-tanked)
Hopefully today i can get the canopy in situ as my plants are suffering badly with only a small T8 light (all i could muster for the time being) , ohh and how come a man (Me) can get told "yeah work in the living room i don't mind, just tidy up tomorrow" then the next morning the man (Me, again !! ) gets "i hate all this work mess" sheesh he he
So tonight i hope to have a nice relaxing drink admiring a fully working light system
contemplating the next stage/stages
Cheers
Tony
