Picked these 2 guys up today.

cool!!!

I love bichirs

what sort of size do these chaps get to in comparison with an Ornatapinis

Supposedly the biggest of Bichirs. 80cm+

I guess I Will have to wait and see huh!

Here is one of my "Tiger" Delhezi.

But no way near as amazing as my 2 new PBB. The rarest of all Polys!

Suprised i didn't notice this thread! Lovely fish how many did you manage to get hold off? Would love some but to skint to pay the extorionate prices's they'd cost if they ever turned up in the UK. You thought of trying to breed them? Would make you a fair bit!

Wish the UK had some decent poly's !

Be intresting to see how these guy's grow, i found the 2 wild caught Lapredei's i have are growing the fastest out of all of mine, strangely enough i have a bullet head lap which hasn't grown to much. I have a wild caught Congicus which im hoping will overtake them soon!

You got any more pics of your poly's or your tank?

Thnx Nelly.
All the Snakeheads are doing good dude.
Sold the Pleuros the other day though.

Just to add to this thread, I picked up a 3rd (and last) P. Bichir Bichir today. This guy is a little bigger, and has much nicer color and contrast.

Here's some pics of new guy settling in:

Nice to see you managed to get few :)

You had any luck breeding any of your poly's? I've got mixed sex Lap's and never seen anything in the year ive had them

@Nelly:
The Pleuros never REALLY grew on me as they got bigger. I don't know why.
I had a friend who badly wanted some non Juvi Pleuros, so I sold them on.

@Always4lora:
Breeding Bichirs is waaaay more complex than most others like Snakeheads etc.
I have managed Senegalus before, but they are easier. Good luck with your breeding though!

how much did these beaut's cost roughly in £ think the most expemsive birchir ives seen is around the £80 mark imagine these are a few000's
