I got a new 20g yesterday that I'm gonn move all my small fish to (few platies, and neons) along with my breeding pair of Sajicas, as both times they've spawned, they've lost all the fry to the clown loaches they are currently housed with.
It also frees up space for me to separate my severum and Geophagus into their own 55g each!
Anyway. It's up and running, and just needs a few finishing touches. So any suggestions are welcome. Especially for a background. I'm off to get one today, but don't know what to put on it!!

I'd go with more plants :D But then....I like plants a bit too much.

If it was my tank I'd just put a plain black background on to show up the colour of the neons. Then I'd put some tall plants mid to back and maybe one or two small, low plants just to the front left of the middle rock.

It's looking great so far!

If you're looking for suggestions, I would say get a plain black background, and get some nice tall plants for the back of the tank. Also maybe a few short plants for the foreground and to interdisperse among the rocks would look nice too.

By the way, I love those rocks you have in there. Very nice!

I've gone with the plain background, and I'm gonna get some more plants this week.
Cheese, is vallis the long grassy type plant??

I agree with Cheese, get a bit of Vallis, it would suit the tank very well. Besides this I think you dont need to add much more at all.

Tall plants on the sides to give focus to the center - an illusion of no side boundaries
A planted background to give the illusion of depth

id put some plants around the back of the rock in the middle.. maybe make a semi circle around the back of that rock with plants

I got the background on , and I added a new plant today. Apparently it's a Heteranthera Zosterifolia!!! Looks like a frilly plant to me!!!
Anyway I've moved some small fish into the tank to get the cycle going properly. I added a whol load of media from my other tanks into the filter, so I shouldn't have any problems. All reading OK so far anyway!
Right here's the pic!!
