I had Gennie put to sleep today at the grand old age of 19.
her kidneys had failedand she had an infected tooth wich caused an abcess in her jaw;
Her blood pressure was off the scale and she was not eating.
if she was in 100% health she had a 50/50 chance of surviving any treatment course for the tooth/jaw,
so I took the best course of action for her. :sad:

:rip: Goodbye Gennie, may you rest in peace.

Aww =( I'm really really sorry to hear this Wolfy, I know how much you loved her. You know you did the best thing for her though. She was absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure she loved the time she had with you. May she rest in peace

:-( the last great act of love. How hard it is to bear that responsibility, but such a wonderful thing to be able to do for her.

Goodnight little girl, you were a beauty.

So sorry to hear about Gennie its one of the hardest things to have to do but it shows how much we love them.I have to come to this point in the very near Future with Cassie my Dalmatian :-( she is going down hill fast and can now go no further than the garden :/

sad to read about the death of a loved pet. Similiar to what happend to my dog a few years ago she was fine and healthy me and my parents thought we took her for a check up the took tests 9 Am the next week received a phone call stating she was suffering liver failure and would die within 3 months in large amounts of pain and we put her down that day.... :( sorry to read your loss RIP.

Oh no, I'm so sorry for your loss :rip:
It is good that she was able to go peacefully, and at such a ripe old age. She had many good years with you, no doubt :)

:rip: Gennie... she had so many wonderful years with you, and I am sure she understands and appreciates what you did for her.
