what type of cloudy water are we talking about?
green/white/yellow/brown

Finding the cause is the best way to get rid of it, rather than sticking more stuff in the tank.

How long has the tank been up and running, what size is the tank, what filtration do you have, how many fish do you have, have you added any more recently, and what are the stats?

a ha ok have you got bog wood.....what fish?
if bogwood to remove this yellow tannin remove wood.....otherwise leave it its not a problem its tannin the water

the filter wool removes white cloudy water and little floaty bits
