Good Deal On 2nd Hand Tank?

My local pet shop has a Juwel tank (doesn't say which type but looks like a Rekord) 2nd hand for sale. Dimensions are 80x30x40 making it 96 litres or 21 gallons. Looks ideal for me except that the cabinet is black and I ideally wanted beech, but I can live with it.

The tank, cabinet and hood with lights are £50. Or for £100 they will give you the filter, gravel, plastic plants and some bogwood too.

I'm thinking of just getting the tank and cabinet for £50, as the gravel isn't what I want and the filter looks underpowered for what it is (it says on the box for up to 2 foot tanks). Then I can go to the proper lfs to get the rest of the stuff I need.

What do you think? Good deal or no?

I have the Rekord 120 and am well impressed.

Have you asked if it is an ex-display or a trade in?

Remember to give it a good scrub before use.

Edit: My Lfs are selling the 96 ex-displays for around £100 just for the tank and stand

Didn't ask where it came from - they don't usually sell tanks or fish for that matter, so it's a bit of a mystery. I was only in there to buy hay for the guinea pigs!

It looks spotless, but I'll give it an extra clean myself to make sure.

I take it you are putting fish in it, not the guinea pigs! Might be a bit cramped

Sorry yes, tank is to be for fish, an upgrade for the one I have now (see sig). Guinea pigs are perfectly happy in their cage lol

I am wanting to do a planted community tank, with the fish I have now plus a few additions.
