Good Base For Riccia?

Hello Everyone,

I have a little bit of a problem here. I have had Riccia in my tank for about a month now but I'm not really happy with the look of it because the base that I used (stainless steel screen) doesn't lay flat on the gravel, so there are kind of "caves" where the riccia isn't on the bottom. The overall effect is that the screen is showing and the riccia looks horrible. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions as what to use for the base? Thanks in advance to any suggestions!
