Gone For 7-8 Days

Well I am going on vacation for about 8 days and I was wondering what would be the best way to feed them while im gone. I got some of those food pyramids but I was wondering if there is another way. Thanks

I wouldnt worry about it, just feed your fish pretty good (without OVER feeding) for a few days before leaving and do a good gravel vac. and you should be good. I think those "feeder blocks" do more harm and pollution than good.

EDIT::: Maybe lower your temp. down by a degree or two to slow down their metabolism?

I agree - they'll be fine without feeding for that long.

8 days should not be a problem for most healthy fish I tend to up feeding a little for a few days before I go away, just to be sure.
Don't use a feeder block.. They are terrible and more often than not end up polluting the tank terribly!

Remember that fish are cold blooded, the water they live in controls their body/blood temperature. So, they dont use up a lot of energy (like we do) trying to generate heat and maintain a specific temperature. Cold blooded animals can live much longer on existing energy reserves without any ill effects.

Alright I will forget about the feeder then, Ill give them a good feeding for a bit.
