Hey, ive got a goldfish, its gills seems to have a greyish growth growing around it, i thought it was a fungal infection. the majoirty fell off when i first realised the problem and removed it from the tank. I decided after no help, it might be ok to put it back into the tank and treat it with waterlife protozin. Then after about couple of hours ich started to be visible, but it was ok, cause the protozin treats ich/fungus. Now im not too sure, another fish thats seems to be cured of ich, though ich is infected maybe 2 other fish, has a small hole thats red along the deficit on its tail. ive no clue what this is? Ive treated the tank with the protozin and recommended not to treat the tank with myaxzin (for bacterial infection) for 2 days. Ive removed the fish with the fungus infection. Its really not in great shape, though i realise it'll probably cause more stress to the fish, i really dont want my tank (as its my main) to become infected even more by its presence. The primary infected fish is in a small hamster cage, should i continue to try to provide protozin? It stopped breathing (no gill movement) for 7-10 seconds, and im weary of it being dead after i finish this post.
so any help asap please.
thanks
My tanks got 8 goldfish, various fantails in there, 3 minnows (i know its probably going to be overstocked, its a 170liters) they're quite small atm, once they become really inhabitable in the tank, i'll provide them with a an outdoor pond.
My waters clean of ammonia, nitrite. nitrates low.
Ph is is 7-8, cant really tell, my test kits balls. but its at an ideal ph
Temperature is at 24degree celcius, room temp.

ok first of all, have patience...your original post was only on here for 35 minutes before you posted your second "anyone" post - - the members here are from all across the globe and therefore have vastly different schedules which will allow them to plunk down in front of their computer and come on the forum (as much as we wish, we can't be on 24 / 7 haha)

second of all...you are seeing signs of massively poor water quality because you are SERIOUSLY over stocked.

move the fish to the pond now if you can....a 170 liter tank for that many goldfish is not suitable at all.

you really need to get yourself a decent liquid test kit so you can stay on top of monitoring your own water so you can catch problems like this in the early stages.

best bet for the fish, multiple LARGE water changes to keep the water quality top notch, and rehome most of the fish.

btw, what types of goldfish are they? only some species can live year round in a pond....if you have fancies you need to invest in a large tank for them because they are not suitable for pond life

My bad, well thnx for the help. The fish didnt make it anyway
I know im overstocked but its kinda not my fault. After my recent birthday, my old man decided to buy more for my tank as a surprise without knowing i was going to convert my tank to tropical due to variance. Originally i had 2 fantail goldfish, 1 redcap, 1 ryukin, 4 wmcm. Plan was to donate the gf to lfs and was easy to go from there. But now its not so easy, considering the money used to purchase the gf.

Now its the original plus 2 x lionhead goldfish (seems to have the most personality out of them all), 1x ryukin (the other is the sick fish), 1 common (i think)

Gettin a ponds probably not realistic, i would like setting one up tho.
Just wondering, i dont supopse you have experiance in the matter? The goldfish had a white growth around its gill, that fell off, and then turned grayish. Its a fungus growth?

thanks
