Ah well good luck with your other fish either way , always remember to thoroughly research your fishes needs too .

i'm sorry about this but you are really getting on my nerves. Its ok to make mistakes and learn from them but when 20 gold fish die, giant minnow dies and yet your interested in keeping puffers!!! i want to bang your head against a brick wall, you obviously have no idea about basic fish care/maintenance and yet your carrying on wanting to stock your tank!

Do your bloody research and stop killing fish!

You wouldn't put 20 golden retrievers in the boot of your car and then wait till they die and and go get a german shepherd to put in there would you?

I apologise if this offends you and i also apologise to other members of this usually peaceful forum but sometimes ignorance annoys me plus many many fish appear to be being slaughtered here and most people are being quite patient but i think its cruel and morally wrong!

First of all the goldfish for feeders but it turns out they died and I think part of that was a sickness in the pet store tank! The Giant Minnow I got in the Feeder goldfish tank. Third I think it was rude that you want to slam my head into the brick wall
The puffers will be living in a cycled, well planted tank. I am sorry if I made you mad, I am sorry if I made anyone mad, Please forgive me. I thought I would only have the goldfish for a day or two because we where feeding them to my friends Oscars but then you guys told me not to and then they died. Hackett do you think I meant to kill the fish? Do you think I wanted them to all die? Do you think I was trying to get on peoples nerves? I am sorry! What more can I say about it.

Hm, well, i do have to say FTBgirl that you should have probably made more of an effort to learn more about your fish and fishkeeping basics in general especially considering how long you have been around here, you've had a lot of time to play with to learn more about such stuff here. Some things are just a matter of common sense, for example if you have bad luck in the past with fish like goldfish why didn't you make more of an effort to learn more about them this time round before you decided to keep them again?

Fish never die for no reason at all, simple as that.

Anyways, although i'm tempted to rant, others have already made the point now i guess. Nothing more can come of ranting, certainly nothing positive in this thread anyway at least for now.


The most important thing now FTBgirl is that you change you ways. What happened with the Giant Minnow? Are you sure you did not mean Giant Danio?

I am not evan to sure what a Danio is. But I am pretty sure it was a Minnow though. I dont know it died too.

When it died I flushed it... I took no pics before that. But he just looked like a BIG minnow.

How big was it roughly in inches or cm's? What colour/s was it and did it have any distinctive patterning etc? Did it look like any of the fish in the link below;

when i said bang your head against a brick wall its a figure of speech meaning to get the information into your head. I don't actually want to assault you.

I'm sure you didn't mean to get on my nerves but i just feel like in every thread it mentions a fish of yours dieing. This forum is a wealth of knowledge and as already stated you have been here a long time so you will know your way around. All i ask is that you do your research, run a fishless cycle and even if it takes you 12 months make sure your tank/water is able to sustain life and no more fish will die.

Tokis It was a little less than 4 inches and it looks nothing like any of those. As I said before... It looks just like a BIG rosey red.
